Coweta Charter Academy at Senoia (CCAS) students participated in the Kindness Rock Project during after school care.

Carree Keyser, After School Care Director, researched activities for CCAS students to do after school that would bring them together.  Keyser came across the Kindness Rock Project and decided this would be a fun activity for all ages.

“I was looking for a purposeful activity that we could start in the After School Program and then share with the students and staff at CCAS. The results exceed my expectations!” said Keyser. “The older students helped the younger ones design their rocks. Each rock is a unique expression of kindness and gratitude, and I couldn’t be more proud of them!”

Students were provided with various sized, colored rocks where they decorated rocks with words of kindness. Once decorated, these rocks are placed in a basket throughout the school to spread kindness to everyone.

The Kindness Rock Project has become popular as of late that began as a hobby. Several cities have participated in this project, where community members would hide Kindness rocks for others to find.  CCAS students were proud to participate in spreading kindness around their school.
