Two veterans will be awarded Quilts of Valor
SENOIA, Ga (Nov. 8, 2018) – Students at Coweta Charter Academy at Senoia (CCAS) will honor veterans at a breakfast on Saturday Nov. 10, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. All veterans attending are related to or invited by a CCAS student. Students will award Quilts of Valor to two veterans. One of the veterans is Principal Gene Dunn’s father and the other is a grandfather whose grandchildren attend CCAS. Quilts of Valor Foundation started in 2003 with a mission to coverall those service members and veterans wounded physically or psychologically with comforting and healing, according to their Website.
In addition to awarding the Quilts of Valor, the school’s orchestra will play for all veterans.
